| Horrors of the Underground
The warbands hear of a powerful treasure lost in the tunnels of the Cathayan borderlands. One warband is already exploring the dark underground corridors while the other has now arrived at the tunnel entrance. Preparing to follow their rivals and attacking them from behind.
Some of the tunnels are part of the mines of Sen’quoi. Precious metals were once mined here by men blasting tunnels by exploding blackpowder kegs. That was until at one point so many workers kept disappearing in the tunnels that the mines had to be closed. To this day no one knows what evil consumed the poor miners but no one wanted to know the truth...
This is a scenario from the Border Town Burning supplement. Random tunnel tiles are places when a model moves to the edge of an unexplored tile.
And yes, we did play Zombies! a couple of times. 
What do you think about this system for playing underground scenarios? We like it a lot because it is very simple, yet very exciting with each game turning out differently with other tunnel combinations and encounters. I'll post the full rules soon, if you like, or just make the PDF available for download.

| That looks really cool AND FUN. I bet that would work well for battles beneath the streets in dear old Mordheim: Sewer Wars. Excellent idea; I'd love to see the rules & a battle report.

| That is absolutely awesome!. Great work. I'd love to make a single player game like that Where each tile might have zombies on it as you discover it =], so you have to fight through the endless horde of zombies to get to the exit/treasure lol

| Hey cianty,
I was going blind trying to pick out individual minis on the board [old guys CAN be SO DENSE]. Is the Dragon the Ancient Citadel one that was stomping some hapless adventurer? I did that one a couple times way back when [LOVE these nostalgia trips, man]; it was a nice piece to work on, & painted up very nicely.
Looking back on it, Citadel has made SO MANY really great pieces over SO MANY years. Not every piece is a winner, but then even Babe Ruth didn't hit a home run everytime he came to bat. |

| Can't wait to have a play of this, looks like top fun. It makes me wanna build a 3D dungeon or sewer or something, which I have always said I'd get around to doing some day. hmmm...

Me too. I think the templates scream for properly built gaming tiles. So much to do, so little time...

I'll post him in the Cathayan creatures thread when it's done. But this will take some time. Colombo sure has a higher priority.

I agree Marco should take priority; it really is a cool mini & easier on your wrists. One of my [MANY] faults is a tendency to go off on a tangent & paint the "pretties" first. I'm not going anywhere [Tom bursts into tears]; I'll be here when you have the time amid the myriad of cool things you are doing for BTB. |

| Sweet! A nice set of rules for my allready built tunnels! - I was looking for something like this, seeing as it was fairly hard to get people to venture into the tunnels in normal Mordheim battles... (I've got a bunch of cellars and tunnels built and use them as yet another playable layer (or rather 2 more) but it wasn't as easily used as I hoped, but with such scenario's I reckon this wil be changed!

| Woww!! That's a freaking awesome gaming table, Ezekiel! How come you haven't uploaded that to the gallery already? You say you have no better photos so I guess that's the reason. I really you manage to get hold of a camera make some more shots as this looks really really great!
