PostSubject: Underbheit's Undead   Mon 2 Jun 2008 - 4:52

Hi Everybody,

I finally made time to photograph my Undead Warband. At the moment they are assembled, but they still need paint.

My Vampire is a converted version of the Winged Vampire. I started his under coats and then decided to change the arm...again.

I took my Necromancer from the Corpse Cart.

I just hired a Warlock in my current campaign.

These are my Dregs, Claude. Lon & Boris. I'm not entirely set on them yet.

My Ghouls are pretty straight forward, but I love these new plastics.

I intentionally modeled my Zombies without weapons, as per the warband description.

I'll have more time to paint them in 2 weeks.

Comments Welcome!

Awesome models UnderBheit!

I moved your thread to the Painting and Modelling section, because the Gallery is only for completed works Wink

Rest assured, your models will one day find their way to the Gallery Smile

Great work! Bravo. Very inspirational. I absolutely love your Vampire and Necro and Warlock... and Dregs. And I haven't seen those ghouls before. they're Rad!

I'd love to get a close up of your Vampire, he's fabulous, and maybe a side shot of a ghoul.

Props to the creature on the Dreg's Back!. Did you model all of that with green stuff?

Thanks for sharing; lots of great inspiration here.

Unfortunately, I can't take all the credit for sculpting the green stuff bat. I just happen to be very good at making molds of bits that I like an then reapplying them to other models. The bat is a bit that comes with the corpse cart. I just made a mold of it, pressed in green stuff and slapped it on my models. I'll post more angles when I've finished painting them. Thanks for the compliments.

Very very cool. I wish I had all these ideas when I was building my undead warband. The new ghouls are much much better than the old ones.

Very nice models you have there! I'm looking forward to seeing them painted. They'll be really cool and... evil.

And I second the demand for close ups, by the way.

Very nice choice of models. The rework on the Vampire is especially well done. I haven't had a chance to browse through all the extra pieces in the Corpse Cart kit, but it looks to be a treasure trove of useful stuff; your Necromancer is worth the price of the kit all by himself. This is going to be an exceptionally cool war band: SO GET CRACKING, MAN! thumbsup

Okay, I've go close ups. I just made a new page at Blog Spot, so just follow my link and click on the pictures for larger views.

Underlanders

P.S. I've painted a Zombie and my Warlock so far, but I want to do a few more before I post them.

Again, very nice models you have there. Now you really need to get painting! It's long overdue! Wink

Okay, here are my 1st two Undead models.

First is my Zombie:

Next is my Warlock, Curse:

I've also just earned a pet bat in my ongoing campaign.
His name is Newt.

I'm sorry that I haven't been more productive, but I'm trying to take my time and try new things. It's a tentative approach compared to the speed painting I did with my Kroot Horde.

thumbsup VERY NICE WORK! Your painting is even better than your modeling, which is saying something. The Zombie is especially good in a ghastly sort of way, Undead chic. The Warlock has a certain sinister quality; if he doesn't make it in magic, he could go into politics [shudder]. Very cool bases & I LOVE BATS!

Keep up the good work.

I like your stylized painting on the warlock. The highlights make him look bold and eye catching, but they're not so crazy-high contrast that it looks cartoonish. Not to say that particular style of painting is bad, as I've seen some amazing models painted that way.

Also I love the zombie. Undead are so freaking awesome! Smile

They look really beautiful! Great work! I never really noticed the cool bases until now. Excellent work! Keep 'em coming!

Thanks Guys.

@Pathfinder Dubstyles: I spent a few hours one evening testing colors on the zombie and then I made a few touch ups the next day. So, I guess my answer is that I'm not really sure how much time I spent painting it. Embarassed
I estimate 3-4 hours off and on.
