| With spare models I had laying around I made an undead warband because i got sick of my Possessed as seen here: http://boringmordheimforum.forumieren.com/painting-and-modelling-f3/wip-possessed-warband-t379.htm
Most of the zombies are Necromunda plague zombies belonging to a buddy of mine he painted about 10 years ago so they are dirty and chipped. The color choices were perfect for radioactive wasteland zombies, but not so much for the muddy medieval type. They will be used without a repaint because i'm lazy!
Zombie Pack: The Meat Puppets

I painted the next two zombies in the past year, trying to copy his style... the sign says Giant mutant rat crossing. Not very Mordheim looking so he will be the first to die i hope!

Nothing special about these bland Dire wolves but what else can be done with such poor models besides covering the neck gap with putty? Dire Wolves:The Lupine Fiasco

Finally we get to the heroes, all i have are the dregs done. Yes i know they have no arrows! And i know my bases suck!
Buster Grymes

Ugly Kid Joe (deceased) Now renamed Sick Stumpy

Greg Zeppelin

Any suggestions for the last dreg's name? It must be a band name or a play-on-words of a band name. Horrible bands are welcome, the name just as to fit in with the theme of a tongue-in-cheek-undead warband.

How about "Hellwiz Pressly" or "Chaos Santana" or "Master Pee" or "Ripley Pierce" ...
Alright, I guess I should apologize for each of those LOL.
What about the round bases? Any intention to replace them with square ones? I imagine it being a little.. dunno... difficult to play with round bases. At least it's very unconventional (which is not necessarily a bad thing, of course!). _________________

| Cool: Necromunda comes to Mordheim. May be you could change the sign to a "Dead End" sign. I love the Zombie with the pipe. Good models, excellent skin coloration on the Zombies.
Names; I LOVE making up names. Tthis DOES NOT mean I'm good at it, but I do love it anyway. How about: Dead Dick Cinedrome or Numbrod the Leper or Smiling Jack
BTW your bases suck. |

| Thanks guys. For some reason i don't feel like painting today so i might not get anyhting done...
I think I will name the last dreg, Greg Zeppelin.
Unfortunately our terrain is so sparse and the buildings so undetailed and open that the only issue of playing with round bases is hand-to-hand where we just wing it based on good intentions. Both my regular opponents use round bases as well, one guy uses and Ork shootaboy as an Orc hero with hotchland long rifle!
Another has a Templar warband (with hunter) made of all ral-partha figures. The remaining models in my warband are dnd chainmail and warmachine/ironkingdom. I try to be wysiwyg but it was hard with the possessed b/c i never painted alternate arms like i had planned! So overall we're not very strict about anything. |

| finally i have pained my Vampire! It is about 90% done, still can't decide what to do with the black areas... It is an Iron Kingdoms elf model that i though looked enough like a Vampire to use. I lost track of how many layers of red highlight i did, I'm guessing around 5 scab red without mixing, and 4 more with blood red added in increments.

As always it looks better in person! |

| Love It! Great Inspiration.
Black is tough. It's very hard to keep it from looking grey. |

I AGREE: the black areas look right as is;i.e., black & red are rather traditional Vampire colors. Nice choice of minis; with the pale skin shades, red eyes, & suitably nasty expression, it definitely looks the part [I've had my doubts about those long lived, pointy eared folk ALL ALONG . ]. So...WELL DONE, AMIGO! |

| Here we have the model i plan to use for my Necro (edited to show detail) and her faithful familiar Gnarled Barkling.
Rihanna Witherpus

Gnarled Barkling

I would have liked to do more than simply drybrush the dog, it is a really sweet model that deserves a better paint job but i got lazy...
Here we have another Necro for use if the first one dies that i painted over 10 years ago. I believe it was my first ever attempt to highlight from back when i still used white undercoats; honestly looking at it side by side with recent models, i can't see much of an improvement!

Lastly we have my lizard creature (ghoul) which became a hero only to die, but was resurrected (rehired) in hopes of getting lucky again. This model is half done at the moment, but you can see by the model why i named it: Thin Lizzy

| does the first one wears armour? If I'm right, the Necromancer couldn't use spells.. But the rest looks pretty good only the ghoul is a bit strange _________________

| I’m quite sure that it is from the same box as the necromancer above it.
It is the boxed set Ahmut’s Legion from the old Dungeons & Dragons miniature game called Chainmail (I’m pretty sure they stopped making those a few years back, when they released the collectable plastic D&D miniatures). |

I couldn't have said it better myself. Id also like to add that there was a bone giant i might use as an ogre hired sword and an undead half-orc that would make a nice vampire as well. I have gotten so many offers from people wanting to buy that dog model, and i think that that single model justifies the entire mistake that was Chainmail and my foolish $80 worth of purchases!
The game Chainmail itself was boring and bland for tabletop gamers and too investment heavy and modeling oriented for kiddos. It was the for-runner of the current pre-painted collectible mini game; a perfect game for the demographic they seek to exploit! A really great branding position all around and i applaud wizards for their efforts.
I did notice they used some of the same sculpts for the collectible plastic figs, but the detail is far from impressive. Good for use in d&d where a scrap of paper is just as suitable but not so nice looking in a proper tabletop skirmish game.
As far as the armor on the necro, i think i will paint it to look like it is fashioned out of bone, and if i ever have an extra skill i'll get warrior-wizard, but for now it's just considered "decorative" |

| On your Vampire: I hadn't thought [one of my traits ] about using the IK elves for Vampiric characters. It's a GREAT IDEA; yours is a beauty. I'll HAVE to check out the minis AND con my pigeon/patron into including them in his Vampire order. Thanks for the idea! |

| I love the way you decided on using unique models.
This is what I love about this game. I know I have stated this in a few other threads but people that play Mordheim bring out Quality and Uniqueness.
This is why I love this game and have NEVER stopped playing.
Thanks for sharing it means a lot. |
