Wow guys there's some awesome stuff in here, anyway here are my Hochland warband using the rules for Averlanders. I'll post more pics as I progress hopefully

So far I have

Captain:
heavy armour, double-handed sword, duelling pistol, shield
Converted from a lead teutogen guard model. I added a double-handed sword from the mercenary sprue, and an old empire shield. I think the pistol came off of an old reiksguard knight

2 Bergjaegers:
longbow, club
These are a couple of classic imperial archer models, which I think are still available online in the empire classics section. I love these models, they're so full of character.

Halfling Scout:
shortbow
Just a classic halfling archer

EDIT: Here's a few more pics.

on some Mordheim themed scenery

Hochlanders vs Brettonians

and here's some of the other figures that need painting up for my warband

Cheers man, I'm a painfully slow painter at best. I tried out a new technique with the halfling that I read somewhere. Which is to water down some red paint to the point where it is pretty much all water, and then carefully painted it on to the cheeks and nose. it gives the character a sort of drunk look to them. I'm no expert though seriously, I just spend a lotta time on each figure, redoing bits I've screwed up on Razz

Hey man, those are some very nice looking models very good painting job. If you haven't already, can you post some pics of your terrain? I've been trying to find some good pics of good terrain bases on their tables. =)

Thanks,
Again, Very well done, I can' wait to see the rest of them =) Hillarious Idea to give him blush =)

Wow! I admire your painting skills a lot! The faces e.g. are so damn perfect (like the Halfling in your avatar). Really stunning! That assassin-style Youngblood looks pretty cool, btw.

excellent stuff! The cawdor model is inspired. Your leader is one mean looking SOB! I admire how closely packed your terrain is, as well as expertly modeled by your bro.

Sure thing man, it may be a while now, but I'll definetly do a step by step for the halfling cooks face.
The colours I use for faces are bronzed flesh, flesh wash, bestial brown, blood red, and skull white, it's quite a bit of mixing Very Happy

I JUST never could find the words to give justice to such fine work. After many trips back to this thread, I found myself simply staring and drooling on the keyboard [old men DO have a tendency to drool...alot]. I look forward to your next post; it's inspiring & it keeps the keyboard clean. Sir, yes sir!

Just admiring your cutthroat mob of Hochlanders sir!

Have you tried using Mark Havener's rules for Hochland Bandits? You'll find these warband rules in the Nemesis Crown supplement on the Specialist Games web site in the downloads section.

You models look totally perfect for representing Footpads, Black Hearts etc. It's just a shame there wasn't a gallery on that project. If there was, this fine work would definitely have been in it!

Regards,

Werekin.

That is an excellent looking warband, Jack. The halfling is beautifully painted, but for me, the star of the gang is the leader - what a perfect conversion! The sword, and the pose, match perfectly. Really good work - are there more minis on the horizon?
