| Hey guys,
I've been using "rubbery cement for plastic models" to glue my models together, but they keep falling apart.
What do you use for plastic models (and metal while I'm at it)?
Thanks, Ash _________________ -Ashton Sanders -Mordheim in Montana Blog |

| for plastic I usally use Games workshop's Plastic glue (which is just (very expensive) melting glue) and for metal i usally use super glue _________________ "The only good stunty is a dead stunty, and the only thing better than a dead stunty is a dyin' stunty who tells yer where to find 'is mates."

| you can use super glue for plastics, but the parts can snap off.
try using plastic cement rather than rubber cement. as the name suggests, they may actually be for different materials. That's the first thing i'd try anyway.
go back to your hobby store and don't get the gw stuff, but ask for a generic version. At mine they carry a much cheaper version which not only has twice as much product but a fine needle type applicator.
personally, my favourite is loctite industrial superglue, but thats because i can 'source' it from work

So I'm pretty sure it's supposed to work on Plastic models... it just isn't
I'll try super glue. _________________ -Ashton Sanders -Mordheim in Montana Blog |

| I use a crazy glue called Plastic Surgery. It's specifically made for styrene plastics such as GW minis. I get it from True Value Hardware, & I think Sears carries it. I Highly Recommend it.
Loc-tite, which thatirwinfella mentioned, is superior quality stuff, & they have a plastic specific variety also. You can get their line a Sears Hardware. |

| Yup, Zip Kicker is still available AND they have a spray can type in addition to the aerosol style spray. They've added a couple of different glue types including one for plastics, which I should have mentioned to Ashton in the last bit of advice. Excellent stuff.
I avoid using the plastic cement mosttly because I'm a rather sloppy with the glue, & it [the plactic cement] really can do a number on a piece. |
