| I think it would be ideal to have an easy and readable way to represent a model's profile in text. Basically it wold work like a BBC code button that allows you to enter the basic stats (m,ws,bs,s,t,w,i,a,ld,sv) of a model and it displays in in a table for much easier reading. This would be helpful for all of us that like to write new rules, or post their beefed up 500 rating warbands!
I have no idea how to do this but is it even possible?
As it is now I use the following format to display profiles:
M: 4 WS: 3 BS: 3 S: 3 T: 3 W: 1 I: 3 A: 1 LD: 7 Sv: null
It takes up space but is much easier to read than the common alternative:
M WS BS S T W I A LD Sv 4 3 3 3 3 1 3 1 7 null
Of course the downside is that people might be more inclined to reproduce copyrighted material on the forum which should be avoided if we are to retain our good name, and stay away from GW's legal dept.! |

| | Code: | i don't know how you did that unfortunately... Let me try:
Basic Human: M WS BS S T W I A LD 4 3 3 3 3 1 3 1 7
|
Ok that works well enough, i guess the code function displays as typed rather than deleting extra spaces like normal... or having other weird font related shrinkage Here is the same text as it would normally appear: M WS BS S T W I A LD 4 3 3 3 3 1 3 1 7
To be honest I had to check your's to see how many spaces you inserted between letters.
p.s. Why doun't you have any BS? |

| In the code environment all letters have the exact same size plus extra spaces are not deleted. Unless you have a way to use tabs, which is near impossible on websites, these are the requirements for displaying profiles properly.
BS 0 because, you know, nobody's perfect. _________________

I wouldn't dare to argue with that. _________________

| Very good thread. Thanks Pathfinder! Yes, I suppose we will have to use the "code" function as Cianty suggested. _________________
