| Fantastic work as always Tom! I love the colour palette and mix of old and new models.
Photographing them in your terrain is always a bonus for us (more loveliness to gawp at!)

| Thx Ash! I came up with the idea myself... I guess I was inspired by the cathedral in Vienna, that has a "tiled" floor with different motifs. Oh yeah... the carving. Took me 3 full days to carve the whole board with a pencil/pen Here's 2 pics I took specially for you | |

Oh yeah... the carving. Took me 3 full days to carve the whole board with a pencil/pen That is FREAKING AMAZING! It look awesome! And to get this straight, you "carved" it with a "pencil/pen"? Did you mark it with the pencil then rub on the foam with the pen? Then you painted it all dark grey and brushed it grey? thanks, and well done.

I carved the stones directly with a pencil, but since the tips kept breaking off I switched to a ball-pen It's much easier. No rubbing needed. Just "draw" while applying pressure

What you need for your gaming board is usually called "Styrodur". It's a very homogenous type of styropor, extremely light, yet very hard. The cool thing about it, is that it is furthermore very easy to cut with a sharp modelling knife and very easy to engrave/carve. Every large home improvement store has it! It usually comes as roughly 0,6x1,2m plates (pink or white) and is used in construction to insulate walls in buildings and houses.
Here in Austria it is called "Styrodur Isolierplatten" and I bought it at OBI, which is a store that I think exists in Germany aswell. Maybe that helps you Erkwin.
Another cool sidenote: If you buy 2 plates, you (usually) have a perfect 1,2x1,2m Mordheim table, the perfect size for a 2-4 player gaming board! (That's the size of my table).
It's rather cheap too! I bought mine at 5€ a piece. So 10€ in total.
In my opinion this stuff is worth it's weight in gold! The nec plus ultra for making gaming tables.

| I am SURE that even in Montana (especially in Montana!) people like to insulate their houses from the cold Therefore you should have no problem finding those plates in the Treasure State | |

Tom, Another Board Question: Now that you've had this "sewer" thing sunken in to your board for a while (I assume), what's your opinion of it? Is it useful? Do people ever use it? Thanks,

| If I can just add to the questions - how do you do your bases? I like the look of them, seem quite nice and flat - I'm currently using some textured plasticard on my Space Marines but its quite raised up, looking for something more like these for Mordheim...
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere! New pictures are lovely!
