Well, I figure I should start a modeling thread for my warband, so here we go.

To start us off, I'll just post some photos of my warband thus far.

Group Shots:

As I finish more models I'll post them here.
Comments and Crits always appreciated!

I said it before an' I'm a say it again: They look friggin perfect! Perfect in the exact sense that they couldn't have been done any better. Totally professional, clean and ... stylish look. Awesome job, man!

I still hate Skaven though Razz

WOW! affraid

Just beautiful work! I'm sure you have heard all this before, but, as cianty said, a very professional look, great choice of colors, & selection of minis shown off in an excellent series of photos. I especially like the Big Rat holding the scythe with his tail. These are inspirational pieces. I hate you [only kidding, I think Suspect ].

BTW I LOVE that female sniper you had on display at the Dakka link you supplied. thumbsup

Thanks for all of the kind words guys. I really appreciate it. I've really been pushing my technical abilites a lot lately (those who read the newest blog on my site have a bit of a heads up on that ^_-).

As to the Dakka link, I also use those pieces to try out new techniques as well. With every one, I go in thinking of a new way to paint, and stick to it from start to finish. I learn more from one offs and small projects than I EVER did trying to paint an entire army.

The great thing to be gained from painting "armies" is a deep rooted self discipline, AND a tolerancee for mind numbing, boring, repetitious drudgery. Suspect

These look great! The snow bases are exactly what i've got planned for my warbands.

I've been using just a baking powder mixture. Can you give any info on what/how you've done these?

Also, as tom said, the metals look fantastic, apparently without using metalic paints. Really cool!

thanks

Thanks for the kind words everyone. These guys are pretty much the pinnacle of my work so far. It's nice to see I'm doing something right ^_^.

As to the snow bases, I'm just using Woodland Scenics snow flock. I mix it about 1 for 1 Snow/PVA glue and then smear the mix onto the base. Makes it nice and thick, without multiple layers.

i did not notice that you used NMM techniques when i looked at this earlier today, usually that sticks out like a sore thumb but yours looks very natural.
