| Well, this is my first attempt to post some pictures on the net, i hope this works Inspired by Cianty´s Border Town Burning Supplement i started to work on a Marauders of Chaos Warband, here it is in finished form (the pictures are not that good, i should have done this in better light):
Champion: Chieftain and dogs: Condemned: Shaman and two Marauders: Champion and two Marauders: Shaman: Chieftain:
I am no great painter, especially compared to some of the masterpieces you can see on this forum, but at least this chaps don´t disgrace me on the gaming table. If you read this Cianty, you´re to blame for this attempt to post my Marauders. I wanted to show you that your work is inspiring people to build & paint . Now get the last two installments of BTB out! |

| This is great, Horatius! I like them a lot!
That claw on the Condemned is cool, where is it from?
The scenery is great and fitting too!

Of course I read this! And this does mean a lot to me, seriously. Would you mind me adding them to the gallery of the BTB website? _________________

| Great job on your warband! I really like how the chieftain turned out. I think the claw is from Chaos Mutation sprue. |

| Thanks guys! Yes, the claw is from the chaos mutation sprue. I got it some time ago in a chaos-bitzbox i bought on ebay. It has finally found a use. Cianty, feel free to add them to your gallery. They are not as well painted as your own, but they are lightly converted to fit my starting warband:
Cieftain with sword and axe 2 Champions with axe Shaman with staff (Hammer) Condemned 4 Marauders with hammers/maces 2 warhounds 495 gold crowns total. I´ll play them as Kurgan (even though they don´t have black hair etc.) as i like their rules better than the ones for the Norse. I´ll justify it by calling them a northern tribe under heavy Kurgan influence . Pretty maxed out for a starting warband, but with the lack of shooting i´ll probably need it. I´ll add the chieftain´s armour, one warhound some more Marauders once i´ve earned some money in the campaign. |

| Thanks Horatius! Would you mind telling me your full name, because I really really dislike using nick names.
I'm usually taking more Chaoshounds for the starting Kurgan warband, because the are the strongest in the beginning when the other warbands have not earned so much Experience. On the other hand, the additional marauders in your list will give you better henchmen/maybe lad's got talent early on in a campaign. _________________

Ha, I already sent you a PM before you posted this. So who's spamming now? Anyways, some bigger pictures would be appreciated. Will you be making more models or do you think they're enough? (I think you'll at least want some more dogs) _________________

There are no official rules concerning bases. However, Chaos hounds have always been on cavalry bases (25 x 50 mm) so they should be on those. _________________

Those are original GW Chaos Warhounds from Warhammer 5th edition. I have some of them here too (either unpainted or horribly painted). _________________

| Yep, the hounds are old GW ones. At the moment i have a Chieftain, two Champions, one Condemned, one Shaman, five Marauder henchman and the two hounds painted. I plan to add one more hound and two Marauders (plus a chaosspawn in case my chieftain gets unlucky), taking me to the warbands maximum of 15 models. More hounds would increase the warband´s power early in a campaign, but since they don´t get XP it hampers them later in a campaign. I like the development potential of my henchmen and think it will likely benefit me in the long run, even if it means i´l loose more games early on. That leaves me with only one problem: I do not have any more of the old GW hounds (and you can´t buy more of them), so i do not know where the 3rd hound will come from Maybe i´ll have to use some other models...... |

| Great! I'll see about adding them to the gallery tomorrow as I just came home from the Spiel 08 and I'm tired and exhausted. Great photos!
May I ask again, where is the scenery from? Did you build it? That house looks really good. At first I thought it was Wolfgang's Bretonnian table which can be seen on Gidean-Gelände but upon closer look it seems it's not. _________________

| I didn´t even notice you had asked It is a small bretonnian / dark age cottage built by Wolfgang. No idea if it is the same you saw on the net, but it is posible. I bartered it against some minis a while ago (Zvezda Royal Infantry and orcs) to feed his ever growing bitzbox, he loves converting plastic minis. But i think the main reason he did this was because he was running out of space to store his terrain...that happens about once a year for him |

Oha, let me know when he need space next time! I'll give him whatever he wants! Maybe he needs a battle monk warband in exchange for the mortheim table.. okay, maybe not..
You gotta make him do some BTB scenery. I'd love to see what he comes up with. _________________

| That is unlikely, as he is busy building a 40K Cityfight table and writing his 3rd book But i´ll try to at least interest him in the BTB campaign, he already has lots of usable terrain. |
